The amphibious boundaries of the Inner Harbor Community stretch into the Baltimore Harbor and across the actual land making up Baltimore. The Inner Harbor ranges from any water west of a line drawn between the foot of President Street and the American Visionary Art Museum, and then on land from President Street to the east, Lombard Street to the north, Greene Street to the west, and Key Highway on the south. 

Where should I eat?

When traveling through the Inner Harbor Community be sure to check out the SoBe Café. This American restaurant prides itself on making everything from scratch with all fresh ingredients just like your mother used too. Open for dinner seven days a week and brunch on the weekends this mainstay of the Inner Harbor even has a patio to enjoy the fresh harbor air during your meal. You can sleep easy knowing you ate here too as Sobe practices sustainability by recycling just about everything after you finish your meal, from food waste to the plastic and paper products, everything can be recycled. They are environmentally friendly and delicious.

Looking to have a great steak on the waterfront? Look no further than the Inner Harbor’s own Sullivan’s Steakhouse. Open for lunch and dinner all week long, this steakhouse provides an excellent upscale meal on the Inner Harbor.

Are you looking for a great spot to watch the Ravens or Orioles with a couple cold beers and great food? The Pratt Street Ale House features British style ales and creative pub fare. This sports bar is one of the best places to catch a game in all of Baltimore, in fact, if you can’t make the game itself there is no better atmosphere to watch the game and root on the home team than at Pratt Street Ale House!

Are there parks nearby?

The Waterside Park is a great way to beat the heat in the Inner Harbor. With shaded benches and picnic areas, a giant fountain and splash pads for the kids, this is a park the whole family can enjoy on hot summer days.

What is there to do?

The Inner Harbor community may have the most to do of any community in all of Baltimore. Here you can get a cruise up and down the harbor on a big red boat as part of a guided tour from Watermark. Also available are Friday and Saturday night cruises that each stretch over an hour long.

If you have a young child interested in science or you yourself are a science fan be sure to check out Maryland’s Science Center which is home to many hands-on experiments as well as a planetarium and IMAX theater.

Visit the National Aquarium and see the over 17,000 different kinds of animals that call the aquarium home.

What places should I visit?

When visitng Baltimore Inner Harbor you should see as many of the museums as you possibly can. The Inner Harbor isn’t just home to great restaurants and night life, it is one the bets collection of educational buildings in the whole state of Maryland. The National Aquarium is one of the largest and ranked one of the best in the whole country. The Ripley’s Believe it or Not Museum will have you dismayed and amazed with its incredible oddities. You can explore the USS Constellation and other historic ships that have played an important role in the military history of our country. The Discovery Children’s Musuem is another hands-on opportunity to help your child see all of the incredible things science has to offer and to teach them.

Lastly there are incredible shops at The Gallery and the Harborplace if you are looking to expand your wardrobe while you take in some of the incredible sights at the waterfront.
