The boundaries of Downtown Baltimore are Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to the West, President Street to the East, Mount Royal Avenue to the North and the Inner Harbor area to the South.

Where should I eat?

 If you are going to visit Downtown Baltimore, you might as well have some of the best steak the city has to offer! You can find just that at the upscale, The Capital Grille. A steakhouse that has traditional American fare and has a knowledgeable and friendly staff that will make you feel like you got a bargain. Open seven days a week with lunch offered only on weekdays. Saturday and Sunday the grill opens up for dinner only, Saturday it opens at 5pm and closes at 11pm, on Sunday it opens at 4pm and closes at 9pm. Weekdays are 11:30am to 10pm, except for Friday where they stay open an extra hour until 11pm.  Locals are reviewers love the extensive cocktail list and the lobster macaroni and cheese almost as much as they love the chef and staff.

Are you looking for something a little less pricey, Maisy’s restaurant will offer you creative American inspired fare and never has a shortage of interesting beers and a late night happy hour for the night owls. Open seven days a week for lunch and brunch through the post midnight hours, you can always get a beer and some comfort food at Maisy’s. Open from 11am to 1am each day except for Thursday and Friday where they stay open an extra hour until 2am.  On weekends, they open for brunch at 10am and stay open until 1am. The brick oven pizzas are a staple of any night out in Baltimore and what would a restaurant here be with a great crab dip as an appetizer? Grab you friends and enjoy a night out in Downtown at Maisy’s.

 Are there parks nearby?

 If you are looking for a great place to bring your lunch on a workday and sit beside a beautiful fountain, the Preston Gardens Park is for you. This park has curved cement staircases so that you can see the fountain from anywhere in the park. This is an oasis in the center of the city for people seeking out a peaceful place to contemplate their day or enjoy their meals.

Saint Mary’s Park is a great place to bring the kids to learn how to ride their bikes and can be a fun place to kick around a soccer ball or play some pick up football. This park is a beautiful open space just begging to be put to use.

If you are in Baltimore in the Fall or Wintertime, you can also catch a Baltimore Ravens National Football League game at the M&T Bank Stadium.

One of Baltimore’s most famous residents was the American writer, Edgar Allan Poe. Poe captivated audiences then and now with his dark stories of terror. Here you can visit his birthplace and a museum documenting his life and his works. A must stop for any fan of his work.

The Maryland Science Center offers several exciting ways to get children involved in science and explore the field in a hands-on manner that brings the subject matter to life for them.
